The US Automotive Digital Retail Landscape Continues to Evolve

The total number of dealers with Digital Retail solutions installed on the dealer's website has been stable for the past couple of years. The donut below shows the total number of Digital Retail solutions installed on approximately 20,000 US franchise dealer main brand websites.

While some solutions have won or lost more market share than others, top Digital Retail solutions have been relatively stable in terms of share. A long tail of smaller competitors continue to serve the market despite limited growth.


OEMs (auto manufacturers) drive dealer vendor selection by certifying and often discounting favored vendors for their brand. In the example chart below, Carzato has the majority of JEEP dealers, but has not made inroads among dealers of non-Stellantis vehicle brands.
